St Arnaud (Wimmera RC)

Still revelling in the success of the 2009 St Arnaud Cup, the committee and community are determined to make this years RK Macey St Arnaud Cup and even bigger success. Last year saw the St Arnaud community wholeheartedly embrace and support its Cup Day and in doing so put the club on the path to securing its feature race meeting.   

If you only go to one racemeeting this season - make it the RK Macey St Arnaud Cup. This is what country racing is all about. As you wonder around the St Arnaud Racecourse it's hard to believe that these guys only race once a year - with a well maintained track and tidy surrounds.

The RK Macey St Arnaud Cup is on Cox Plate Day, Saturday 23rd October. You can catch all the action live from Melbourne on the big screen at the St Arnaud track. There are 7 races programmed for the day with the feature being the cup which is usually race 5.

There is so much to look forward to about this day: Fashions on the Field - with different categories & great prizes, the 'John Deere All-stars' will rock out after the last race, there's a $1000 prize giveaway to a lucky someone, full marquee & package options available (be quick as they are very popular) free kids activities including a jumping castle and face-painting - there is so much to do. Last year there was even a free BBQ!

There are full catering, tote and bar facilities available on-course and when all the action is done and dusted at the racecourse you can catch a lift into town on one of the free courtesy buses and head to the official after party at the 'Farmers Arms' - it couldn't be any easier.
